Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team is pleased to confirm the contract extensions of Xabier Mikel Azparren, Marcel Camprubí, Walter Calzoni and Frederik Frison, reinforcing the team's commitment to continuity, development and building a strong foundation for the seasons ahead.

Azparren will remain with the team through 2028, Camprubí has committed through 2029, while Calzoni and Frison will continue in Pinarello Q36.5 colours through 2027.

The four riders represent different profiles and stages of their careers, but share qualities central to the team's sporting project: commitment, reliability and a willingness to race for the collective.

A consistently strong and dependable presence throughout 2026, Xabier Mikel Azparren has further established himself as one of the team's most versatile riders.

The 27-year-old Spaniard played an important support role during the team's historic first Tour de France, contributing to Tom Pidcock's ninth place overall, before lining up for La Vuelta a España later in the summer.

At La Vuelta, Azparren combined his team responsibilities with opportunities to race for his own result, finishing sixth on Stage 10 and tenth in the Stage 18 individual time trial.

His strength, versatility and ability to perform across different roles make him an important part of the team's structure moving forward.

Marcel Camprubí's three-year extension represents a clear investment in a rider who has developed within the team's performance environment and continues to take significant steps forward.

The 25-year-old claimed the biggest victory of his career in June, becoming Spanish Road Race Champion and earning the right to race in the national champion's jersey.

His progression continued through the second half of the season, including his participation at La Vuelta a España, where he finished fifth on the demanding Stage 19 to Peñas Blancas.

With his long-term future secured through 2029, Camprubí will continue his development within the team as his potential and racing responsibilities grow.

Walter Calzoni will continue with Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team in 2027 following a season that underlined both his resilience and his potential.

After navigating a challenging first part of the year, the 25-year-old Italian produced an encouraging Grand Tour debut at La Vuelta, finishing ninth on two demanding mountain stages: Sierra de la Pandera on Stage 14 and Collado del Alguacil on Stage 20.

Those performances offered another indication of Calzoni's climbing potential and provide a strong platform from which to continue his development next season.

Experience and reliability remain essential ingredients in a successful racing team, and Frederik Frison brings both in abundance.

The 34-year-old Belgian has built his career around the hard work that often happens away from the results sheet: protecting leaders, controlling races, positioning teammates and bringing calm and experience into demanding racing situations.

At 1.93 metres, Frison is an imposing presence in the peloton but an equally valued one within the team. His professionalism, selflessness and understanding of how to protect and support the team's leaders make his continued presence in 2027 an important part of the squad's balance.
