Backing The Next Generation: Pinarello Q36.5 And Schweizer Sporthilfe Strengthen Their Collaboration
Following two major events in Zurich, the Swiss UCI ProTeam reinforces its commitment to supporting young sporting talent and creating opportunities for the next generation of athletes.
Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team and Stiftung Schweizer Sporthilfe are strengthening their collaboration, building on a shared commitment to supporting young athletes and helping them fulfil their sporting potential.
The partnership was highlighted during two of Schweizer Sporthilfe's flagship events in Zurich: the Sporthilfe Super10Kampf, held on Friday, 30 October, and the Sporthilfe Gala, which followed on Saturday, 31 October.
Bringing together athletes, supporters and representatives from across Swiss sport, the two events provided an important platform to celebrate sporting talent and raise awareness of the opportunities created through long-term support.
At the heart of the collaboration is a programme supporting 60 young cyclists aged U15 to U19, alongside 54 athletes recognised through Swiss Olympic talent and performance programmes.
With a particular focus on cycling disciplines, including road, mountain bike, track, cyclo-cross, and triathlon, the initiative aims to help promising young athletes overcome financial barriers and continue their development.
For Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, the collaboration reflects a wider vision of contributing to the future of sport, extending the Team's commitment beyond professional racing.
Douglas Ryder, Team Principal of Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team, said:
"High performance starts long before an athlete reaches the professional level. Behind every young talent there are years of dedication, hard work and people who believe in their potential. Through our collaboration with Schweizer Sporthilfe, we want to contribute to that journey and help create opportunities for the next generation. As a Swiss team competing at the highest level of international cycling, we believe supporting the future of sport is an important part of who we are."
Steve Schennach, CEO of Schweizer Sporthilfe, said:
“We are exceptionally proud of this strong partnership. This support, provided long before the spotlight shines on the stars, accompanies Switzerland’s greatest talents on their journey to the top of the world. Through Pinarello Q36.5, these athletes receive outstanding support in achieving sporting excellence. This commitment creates a lasting impact – emotionally, socially, and in sport itself. Across Swiss cycling and triathlon, Pinarello Q36.5 is one of the most important companions behind nearly every success story of Swiss athletes, both today and tomorrow.”
Because the future of sport deserves the opportunity to grow.
