Moschetti sprints to third at Lotto Famenne Ardenne Classic!

Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team once again delivered a performance at the front of the race, with Matteo Moschetti securing a strong third place at the Lotto Famenne Ardenne Classic after 186.7 km of aggressive and demanding racing.

Run on a circuit starting and finishing in Marche-en-Famenne, the race was shaped by constantly changing weather conditions: wind, intermittent rain, and sunshine, which, combined with a high pace and multiple crashes in the peloton, made for a particularly selective day.

An early breakaway of six riders animated the race for most of the day before being reeled in dramatically inside the final 700 meters. From there, it all came down to a reduced bunch sprint on an uphill finishing straight,a pure test of race sharpness and positioning.

Moschetti, perfectly guided by his teammates throughout the day, delivered a powerful sprint to claim third place, confirming the team’s ability to consistently be present where results are decided.

"It wasn’t an easy race today. There was a big crash after just 15 km and we lost both Fabio (Christen) and Emmanuel (Houcou), so from that point it became even more demanding. The course itself wasn’t simple either, but the guys did a really great job, protecting me all day. In the final, the sprint was quite tough with the uphill finish, so taking third place is a solid result, especially coming off a big block of altitude training after our camp. This race was an important step on the way to the Giro. I didn’t expect to be super reactive already today, so it’s definitely a good signal after the work we’ve done. Now a few quieter days before the Giro Grande Partenza."

With five days to go before the start of the Giro d’Italia, today’s result underlines the team’s condition and clarity of execution. In a complex and high-speed race scenario, Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team once again showed its capacity to stay in control, support its leaders, and convert opportunities into results.

Always in the positions that matter.
