The third stage of the Tour of the Alps began under difficult circumstances, as a major crash occurred just a few kilometers after the start, involving around 30 riders. The race was neutralised for 21 minutes to allow medical staff to provide assistance and treatment.

Our rider Damien Howson was among those involved in the incident and was unfortunately forced to abandon the race. He was taken to hospital, where medical examinations revealed a lateraldislocated clavicle fracture on the left side.
