Bike check: Tom Pidcock’s Pinarello DOGMA F

The Classics have begun, and Tom Pidcock is set to take on the cobbles aboard his Pinarello DOGMA F, a machine built for the intensity and unpredictability of the Classics.

Engineered for pure race performance, the DOGMA F combines aerodynamic efficiency, stiffness, and precise handling, exactly what’s required on the narrow, technical roads of Belgium.

In terms of equipment, Pidcock opted for a fairly standard setup, with one notable exception: the use of a 1x drivetrain, a configuration that has proven hugely popular across the peloton for the cobbled races.

His size 465 DOGMA F frame may sit at the smaller end of Pinarello’s range, but with a stack and reach of 525.2 mm and 372.2 mm (stack-to-reach ratio of 1.41), it enables a very aggressive and aerodynamic riding position suited to high-intensity racing.

Up front, the Yorkshireman runs a Most Talon UltraFast integrated handlebar measuring 360 mm wide, paired with a 120 mm stem, delivering sharp and precise handling through the technical sectors.

While the frame can accommodate tyre widths up to 32 mm, Pidcock, like much of the peloton, opted for 30 mm rubber. In this case, Vittoria Corsa Pro tyres are wrapped around Zipp 303 SW wheels, complete with an integrated AXS wheel sensor. The gold Zipp decals and tan sidewalls add an extra layer of visual drama, creating a cohesive and striking package.

Component-wise, the DOGMA F is equipped with SRAM Red AXS, featuring a single 54T chainring paired with a 10–36T cassette and 165 mm cranks. Despite the X-Sync narrow-wide tooth profile, a Wolf Tooth chainkeeper is fitted to ensure maximum chain security over the rough cobbles.

The finishing kit comes courtesy of the team’s sponsors, including Tacx Deva bottle cages and a Prologo Nago R4 PAS 137 mm saddle.

Even in full Classics configuration, where durability often outweighs weight savings, Tom’s DOGMA F tipped the scales at an impressive 7.18 kg with pedals, making it one of the lightest bikes spotted at Opening Weekend.
