Canadian Nick Zukowsky is ready for his fourth season with the team and 2026 marks a special one for Nick with the home World Championships in Quebec & Montreal later in the season.
Canadian Classic
Nickolas Zukowsky’s journey into cycling started a little later than most. Always active froma young age, skiing in the winter, mountain biking in the summer, he only discovered road cycling at 17, after moving to Tucson, Arizona. What began as a safer alternative to desertmountain biking quickly turned into a passion. By the end of that first season, he had gone from racing category 5 criteriums in the US to representing Canada at the World Championships in Qatar.
During the season, Nickolas calls Andorra home. The mountains provide the perfect backdrop for training, with terrain that’s mostly uphill, shaping strength and endurance. Weather conditions vary, cold and sometimes wet, but each ride is an opportunity to grow and prepare for the challenges ahead.
Nickolas is especially excited by the summer and end-of-season races, particularly the Canadian events and the World Championships, which hold a special place in his heart as his first big international experience. His goals for the season include the home Worlds, the races in Quebec and Montreal, reclaiming the Canadian title, and a strong spring classics campaign alongside his Belgian teammates.
One of his standout memories came at the GP Montreal in 2019. Racing from the breakaway, Nickolas pushed solo on the final laps to secure the KOM classification.
"It might not sound like much, but the support from my friends and family on the climbs, and standing on the podium in a WorldTour race while I was only racing the continental circuit, it was incredible."
