From the roads of Barcelona to the climbs of Andorra, Marcel Camprubí is building his career through versatility and ambition. In 2026, he embraces every opportunity on the calendar, aiming to turn bold goals into results as he continues to grow within Pinarello Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team.

Switching Lanes, Chasing Big Dreams

Marcel Camprubí’s path into cycling didn’t follow the traditional route. He first came to the sport through triathlon, riding alongside a group of friends who were already focused on cycling. “They were doing cycling, so then I switched,” he says, a simple transition that quickly turned into a clear direction.

Until recently, Barcelona had always been home. Two months ago, Camprubí made the move to Andorra, embracing a new environment shaped by altitude and climbing. “In Andorra it’s really hilly,” he explains, while training around Barcelona offered more rolling terrain. The change has brought new demands: dry and cold conditions in winter, and hot, dry days in summer, all contributing to his development as a rider.

For Marcel, the excitement of racing isn’t limited to a specific period. “All season is exciting to me,” he says, reflecting an open and motivated mindset toward every opportunity on the calendar.

His ambitions are clear and unapologetically bold. “Win a race and go to the Tour: very ambitious, I know.” That belief in his potential traces back to a defining moment early in his career: finishing second at the Spanish Under-23 Championships. “That’s when I realised I could be good at this.”
