From his home roads in Geel to the heart of the Spring Classics, Frederik Frison thrives in fast, tactical races on flat terrain and short, punchy climbs. In 2026, he looks forward to playing a key role on the cobbles, bringing experience, positioning, and power to the classics campaign.
Built for the Classics
Frederik Frison’s path into professional cycling is rooted in family history. Inspired by his uncle, a professional rider in the 80s and 90s, Frederik grew up watching old race videos and dreaming of following the same road. With his first pieces of cycling equipment passed down and stories of the peloton filling his imagination, the spark quickly turned into a lifelong pursuit.
During the season, Frederik is firmly based in Geel, Belgium. It’s home in every sense, and also the perfect environment for a rider who thrives on flat roads and short, explosive hills. The terrain mirrors the races that define him most, fast, tactical, and unforgiving. Training in Belgium means adapting constantly, with weather that is rarely extreme but always unpredictable, demanding resilience and consistency day after day.
It’s no surprise that the Spring Classics sit at the heart of Frederik’s ambitions. Racing on home roads, surrounded by Belgian cycling culture, brings out the best in him. These races are not only his specialty, but also where his experience, positioning, and power truly shine.
"Riding the Spring Classics in Belgium is something special. Those races are in my DNA, and that fourth place in Gent–Wevelgem is a moment I’ll always be proud of."
Looking ahead, his focus is clear: deliver strong performances throughout the Spring Classics and continue to make his mark at the highest level. Among his standout memories are representing Belgium at the World Championships and finishing an impressive fourth place at Gent–Wevelgem, a result that confirmed his place among the very best in the classics.
