Sam Bennett resumes training
Sam Bennett has resumed training after a temporary medical stop following the occurence of atrial fibrilation and subsequent evaluations carried out in recent months.
The situation was identified through medical monitoring, and the team’s medical staff immediately activated all necessary assessments in close coordination with specialist doctors. After the Ablation on November 18th 2025 Sam followed a prescribed period of rest before progressively returning to riding towards the end of December.
His return to activity has been managed step by step, under continuous medical supervision and within a personalized training plan developed jointly by the medical and performance staff. In recent weeks, Sam also took part in the team’s training camp, following a tailored program aligned with his individual needs.
"After the ablation and completing all necessary medical checks the athlete was cleared to progressively resume training. The return to activity has been structured, gradual, and closely monitored at every stage, fully in line with medical protocols."
team doctor Dr. Lorenz EmmertTeam management expressed confidence in the way the process has been handled and in the athlete’s progression.
"Seeing Sam back in training is the most important and positive sign. He approached the process with patience and professionalism, and the team supported him at every step. We remain fully behind him, first as a person, and then as a rider."
General Manager Douglas RyderAt this stage, there is no fixed timeline for a return to racing. The focus remains on continuing the process carefully and correctly, following medical guidance. Any further updates will be communicated officially by the team when appropriate.
