Chris Harper was involved in a crash with approximately 40 km remaining. The team had moved towards the front of the peloton to avoid potential issues ahead of a left-hand turn when a group of four to five riders went down. Chris sustained the most significant impact and was forced to abandon the race. 

Medical examinations have confirmed a lateral fracture of the right clavicle. The fracture is non-displaced and does not require surgical intervention. 

Harper will undergo conservative treatment. The duration of his recovery period will be assessed in the coming days based on clinical progress.
