2nd place for Tom Pidcock at Clasica Jaen!

A standout performance from Tom Pidcock saw him take a superb second place at the Clásica Jaén after a demanding and selective day of racing on Spanish gravel roads.

Often described as a modern classic, the race once again delivered a brutal mix of tarmac, gravel sectors and punchy climbs. Positioning was crucial from the very first kilometre, with constant accelerations splitting the peloton across the dusty sectors.

As the race unfolded, an early breakaway formed with Mark Donovan represented at the front. He was part of the initial move before one rider attacked from the group, went solo and managed to build a significant advantage.

Behind, the team stayed composed and committed throughout the day, controlling the pace and keeping the pressure on across the gravel sectors. In the final kilometres, the gap began to fall as the chase intensified, with Tom responding with a strong acceleration, trying to bridge across and bring the race back together. Despite a relentless effort, the gap proved just out of reach.

Tom then won the sprint from the chasing group to secure second place, a result that underlines both his form and fighting spirit after an aggressive and committed ride.

Another strong collective performance from the squad on one of the most demanding one-day races of the Spanish calendar.
